- No text talk in posts.
You know the ones. 'lol', 'fwiw', imho' etc. Aside from looking ridiculous, it's also far harder to understand for those that aren't in the loop when it comes to abbreviations or those where English isn't their first language. As such, any type of text speak isn't allowed. While you won't be given warnings for mistakes, continuous use of text talk will result in warning points being given out.
- Posting screenshots / images.
If you're posting about Football Manager on here, the chances are that you're going to want to post images at some point. Whether that be screenshots of players, league tables or tactic boards, my advice is to use a image upload site like www.imgur.com or www.photobucket.com.
For quicker screen-grabbing, www.gyazo.com is an absolute Godsend.
- Sexual content.
The chances are that you're not going to need this rule, but it's best to be sure of what is acceptable and what isn't.
Breasts are acceptable. Male and female genitals are not. It goes without saying that the images also need to be of persons that are 18 years of age and over.
There will be no exceptions. Any images not adhering to the rules will be deleted and the poster banned. This also includes images that have been posted and deleted by the same user.
Piracy is illegal and therefore is forbidden from being distributed here. Discussion of the various clients etc. is allowed, but anything involving links to pirated software will be deleted and the user warned accordingly.
- No post-boosting.
A fairly common forum rule. Don't clog threads up with unnecessary posts. Smiley posts are not allowed and neither are spam threads of a pointless nature. Use common sense.
- Don't abuse people.
No-one wants to come to a forum where you're shouted down for suggesting something, abused, or spoken to rudely so there'll be none of that here. 'Banter', for lack of a better word, is allowed, but don't cross the line.
- Post in the right forum.
Each sub-forum is clearly marked and has an explanation about what should be posted in there. Please familiarise yourself with each forum and post in the right one. If you are in any doubt about where to post, ask any member of staff and they'll be happy to assist.
- Signatures and Avatars.
Animated avatars and/or signatures are not allowed.
Avatars have to be a maximum of 100x100 pixels and a maximum of 30KB (whichever is bigger). Signature images have to be a maximum of 500x100 pixels or 10KB (whichever is bigger).
This includes any image(s) that might in hidden in a 'spoiler' tag.
Each user is allowed one account. Anyone that is found to have more than one account will have the alias account banned and warning points given to their main account in accordance with the warning points table.
- The Discussing of CA / PA (current ability / potential ability)
Each player in the Football Manager database comes with a figure for currently ability and potential ability - a figure out of 200. These figures are not to be discussed publicly on the forums. For a lot of people, they ruin a big part of the game and is largely seen as cheating by others.
- Warnings and bans.
11.1 Discretionary Bans.
If you are deemed to be consistently disruptive over a period of time, without gaining enough warning points to trigger a ban, the staff will discuss the user's future on the forum and any subsequent ban will be decided at their discretion.
