Ok lads, here's some actual in-game info, haha. I've had a chaotic pair of weeks, with a big "fire" at work that has me working overtime.
I'm down to the Championship Group, so it's just 5 games to go. I've been on a tear, unbeaten in the league in my stint, and only losing one game, in the Cup Semi-Final. The League is ours for the taking, as we go into the final five games tied with Celtic on points and a good 10 points above Aberdeen in 3rd. I think it'll come down to the last game showdown against our rivals, fortunately at Ibrox, where we beat them 3-1 back in January. We play 3 of those 5 at home, where we're unbeaten, so I'm confident we can keep up and fight for that title. Besides, the 2 away games are the "easiest ones", facing Hearts and St. Johnstone, while we get Dundee, Aberdeen and Celtic at home.
Squad wise, Matthew Knox has spent much of my stint injured and won't play again in the season (Torn Hamstring), which had me worried, but fortunately, I took a gamble and played then 16-year old Lee Cormack (now 17-year old), and he is THE fucking DON. You're not getting how incredible this kid is, so much that I think @Rico faces somewhat of a problem, as he's going to have to play 2 up front next season. In 30 games (15 starts), Cormack has scored 21 goals, and currently leads the team in Average Rating, with a 7.40. He's had patches where he's been unplayable and defences don't know how to stop him. Lads, I think we've got a Niño Torres, Kun Agüero, Raúl type of player in our hands, a true prodigy. He just signed a new contract, tying him up until 2022, with no MRF clause.
There's two things I really love about this kid, first that he has a TON of room to keep improving, and second, that he shows up for big games. He's scored 3 goals against Celtic (in 2 games), scored a bench hattrick against Aberdeen in the Cup 4th Round and 4 goals against Inverness CT in the Cup QF.
Finally, on terms of transfers, I've had rotten luck. I agreed to terms with both Panic and Madu, two of the top freebies for our team and both deals failed on the Work Permit, so I decided against signing them, as they were both pretty expensive deals, salary wise.
That's it for a short update. I don't know if I'll be able to finish it today, but tomorrow it'll be done. @Nick, @Justin and @Trent, just making sure you look at this, haha.
