2034 Squad Review
Haven't posted screenshots of the whole squad for some time now - so I shall do so now. I have two very distinct squads, both of which I shall post the overview of, but I shall only include screenshots of my first team players - unless there are requests for any others. My first team are, obviously, in the top tier and my 2 team are currently in the second tier - after a 1st and 2nd place finish there in the last two years.
Two very capable goalkeepers here - Liland takes the cup games and the earlier stages of the CL games, whilst Hamnes is my league GK. Liland has 32 career goals, all from penalties - sadly, Hamnes' PK ability is not to that level. Hamnes has recently become a wonderkid and has been included in the last few Norway squads, but is yet to make his debut.
An area of quality and consistency - even if not really recognised by the stars. Halgunset and Asamoah have been a partnership for a long time, with the latter costing £2k from his native Ghana. Abou Keita is the newest addition - costing £90k a couple of years back. We don't have excessive height in this defence - so, when facing taller teams - Halgunset and Asamoah are essential. I've tried to make them all reasonably comfortable with the ball and give them the same traits - to stay on their feet, and to pass it off short to the playmaker (normally Golden) in front of them.
Not quite as strong here - and less rotation - with Koffi and Kouame being the better players. Kouame cost £140k and I have successfully converted him from an AMC to become a creative wingback. Koffi, the £150k acquisition, has been really good and, whilst still learning the traits and getting tutored, has made a great impression. He'll be a top, top player for us. Birkeland and Fofana, one of only two dual-national Ivorians through my academy (the other being my in-game son) provide good backup and tutoring options.
Trond Martin Forsdal
Six top players here. I looked back at the screenshot of when Golden came into my academy - 2 for Determination and not a lot else going on. He's club captain, a great tutor and a really undervalued player - one where his traits make him lethal even though he doesn't have the CA of others. Fofana, despite learning the traits from Golden - doesn't perform that role as well on the pitch and I may look to make a big profit on him and see what else I can find. Diallo is a jack of all trades and a great performer and tutor. Tahiri has done really well to come back from a serious injury and offers me a lot going forward. Forsdal is developing so well - I cannot imagine how good he'll be in a few years time. Drage has done well following his conversion to MC and offers me a slightly different option to everyone else. This midfield can be changed and picked to work against any kind of defence and I really like that fluidity.
Ole Pettar Jacobsen
I've already said a lot about my strikers - but the DF(s) and CF(a) partnership seems to work really well - particularly with the physicality of Allasan and the goalscoring prowess of Akersvatne. Rise is the weakest member and I do have a few 2 team players who I would consider swapping with him. We don't need the money, so he'd stay and play in the 2 team - as has Bohlin Falch and Dag Dahm before him.
As I said - if you want any screenies of my 2 team players (here is my boy Mansou Doumbia for good measure), or any player history etc - just ask.
Hopefully a) I can add a few faces from the youth intake this year and b) it won't be 18 seasons before the next overview!
