Sorry for the lack of updates. I had to go to Walt Disney World for four days worth of on-location job training (it's a tough life but somebody has to live it). Then, I got on a massive run in my save and I didn't want to jinx it by posting a mid-season update. With that, here we go!
We started the league on a 12-match winning streak and never really looked back. We ran away with the title.
We closed winning 10 of our last 11 games. How did we achieve this? Through a defense that just sucked the life out of the opposition attack. We shut down just about every chance. Took the ball and tried not to give it back. We finished the season with 58.3% possession. This was 5% better than 2nd place. As a former goalkeeper, this defense was just great to sit back and watch.
I would go into greater detail about the statistical achievements of my players and why I loved them. Like center forward, Wayne Bassett who was bought for only 92,000 pounds and scored 29 goals this season or Thiago, who came in on a free, and led the team with 15 assists. But I have a new challenge to undertake for the reminder of FM16. My first clue that I could get a big club came when this was offered to me.
Now, I'm not a big fan of the Spanish game so I declined the offer and went on about my business of building Middlesbrough into a Premier League club. But, I got another offer which I couldn't turn down.
The goal for the last month or so......win as much silverware as possible.
