Hey guys, I'm back with another set of leagues, and this time, as requested by @Nick, it's Estonia.
I've included the top two divisions, The Premium Liiga and the Esiliiga. Both leagues follow the same structure, 10 teams playing eachother 4 times for a total of 36 games. The league runs from March to November, which is the custom in a few Eastern European nations, as the winters are simply too cold for football.
The bottom team is relegated, whilst the 2nd bottom side will face off against the 2nd placed team from the tier below in a playoff.
There are some slightly stricter squad rules in Estonia too: A limit of 4 non eu players at the club, whilst 13 of the match day squad (of 18) must be considered home grown in Estonia, whilst 1 player must be considered home grown at the club.
There are two cups, the Estonian Cup and the Estonian Super Cup, they are exactly as you'd imagine...FA Cup and Super Cup.
There is some very minimal prize money included, but in my 3 year test it's clear that you'll have to carefully manage your finances, even if you are one of the better teams.
There is an inactive third tier/low leagues setup which will allow the constant filtering through of new teams and possibilities.
As I say, I've holidayed for 3 seasons and there doesn't seem to be anything amiss. As always though, please let me know if you find anything that I've overlooked, as there's usually something!
